چکیده

Wearable, unobtrusive physiological and cognitive monitoring systems have significant potential for increasing the effectiveness of military and civilian medical care by providing real-time and continuous data for key vital signs. To date, however, such systems have been constrained by the need for extensive subject preparation along with the discomfort and inconvenience of skin-adhesive electrodes. A new type of integrated, non-contact biopotential sensor (ECG/EEG) has been developed to specifically address the limitations in signal accuracy and usability of traditional dry electrode technology. Compared to conventional implementations in the literature, the new integrated sensor removes the need for manual calibration and demonstrates a significantly improved signal fidelity in live measurements, even through clothing.

Soft, Embeddable, Dry EEG Sensors for Real World Applications

Over the last decade, numerous papers have presented the use of dry electrodes capable of acquiring electroencephalogram (EEG) signals through hair. A few of these dry electrode prototypes have even progressed from labbased EEG acquisition to commercial sales. While the field has improved rapidly as of late, most dry electrodes share a number of shortcomings that limit their potential real worl...

Patient monitoring using personal area networks of wireless intelligent sensors.

A wearable device for monitoring multiple physiological signals (polysomnograph) usually includes multiple wires connecting sensors and the monitoring device. In order to integrate information from intelligent sensors, all devices must be connected to a Personal Area Network (PAN). This system organization is unsuitable for longer and continuous monitoring, particularly during the normal activi...

Low Power Wireless ECG Acquisition and Cardiac Stimulation SOCs for Body Sensor Networks

In recent years, body sensor networks (BSNs) based applications or devices have become more and more popular, and acceptable to the people for monitoring the real-time health information, such as the electrocardiogram (ECG). In order to enhance the portability and increase the popularization of BSNs, a low-power wireless ECG acquisition system on a chip (SOC) stuck on the body is required. In t...

Stator Turn-to-Turn Fault Detection of Induction Motor by Non-Invasive Method Using Generalized Regression Neural Network

Condition monitoring and protection methods based on the analysis of the machine's current are widely used according to non-invasive characteristics of current transformers. It should be noted that, these sensors are installed by default in the machine control center. On the other hand, condition monitoring based on mathematical methods has been proposed in literature. However, they are model b...
